Great automata!

My favorite part. Wonder where they got them/borrowed them from.

Yes and beautiful at that. However, I hope the toys that the little girls stepped on at the start of the movie were replicas.

I know, I thought they were awesome! The rabbit jerking around and that monkey with he maracas shakin hardcore, haha. I thought it was cliché to have them all playing, like "ooh let's have a bunch of old toys playing because that will make thiks creepy" ... however I was just intrigued by the toys themselves. I thought to myself, why don't they make cool toys like that anymore.

Two reasons: Today's children are such wimps that the toys would give them nightmares (think Psycho Clown) and they would probably violate any number of child safety laws, which goes back to today's kids being wimps.

I believe many of them came from "House of Automata" in Kinloss, Scotland. They do mention this movie on their website and also consulted on the movie Hugo. They have a Facebook page featuring their lovely star attraction Nancy Turner and their website http://automatomania.co.uk/ is a lot of fun. You will recognize many of the toys used in the movie esp. Rabbit in a Cabbage!

Thanks, I know those guys! I watch their Youtube channel religiously.

That is the only reason I watched this film. The trailer featured a few of them.
