Watching now; worth seeing in spite of many flaws


I'm watching now and it's watchable, however not really well done. No surprise it cost $19M, but only made $5M. The scriptwriter was mediocre at best, and didn't know much about the era. E.g.: 25 Jan. 1965 "Ask Jimi Hendrix". Had the scriptwriter known anything about Hendrix, he'd know that in Jan. '65 he was absolutely unknown, at that time backing up Little Richard and hadn't even recorded anything yet. It wasn't until Monterey 2 years later that he became famous in the US.
And they do stuff like edit him into the Dick Cavett inverview. This is the tip off that it's much better to just watch the real one. And the soundtrack was inappropriate, I mean White Rabbit to signal it's the 1960s....Paleeze!
