The Spassky and Russians Side . . .

there should have been more of it, Spassky as a character in this movie feels quite one dimensional. The rivalry between two of them would be so much more interesting if the movie also tell the story from Spassky and Russia sides. Just like in the real life, everyone wants to be the hero, the good guys, nobody perceive themselves as the antagonists. this is what makes the movie somewhat lacking despite a very great performances and cinematography. A very good examples of this was Rush. Rush had a better pacing and more interesting storyline. It tells a two man's rivalry, their motives & visions, their sacrifices, for the title of who is truly the best in their world.
