Danny
Danny is way, way over the top in this episode. If only he was as tough as he thinks he is. Personally, can't stand the character "Danny". He reminds me of a guy I knew growing up.

shareIt might help if we knew what episode you're watching. ๎ Of course, Danny can be over the top in a LOT Of episodes, so maybe it doesn't matter much after all. ๎ฆ
shareAgree. You don't need a specific episode to see his character - it's (he) always irritating. No one would put up with his style. I hate the way he treats his partner. But we all are watching, right?
shareHis "acting" on the show as a "tough guy" is painful to watch. He probably thinks he's a "badA ss in real life.. I have no idea but yeah he'd have hisA ss beat by someone if he acted like that in real life or treated his partners like that. He's a DOUCHEBAG!
shareOver the top tough cops are hardly new. What about Andy Sippowitz on NYPD Blue?
He was way more aggressive than Danny almost all the time. So too were many of the cops on Hill Street Blues. It's part of the culture of cop movies.
There's no comparison between douchebag and Andy sipowitz?. Andy was and is a more believable cop than Danny. You can read articles from actual NYPD officers, who were coaching Dennis Franz, and they said he was and is the best actor to portray them. He's just a regular guy. He didn't come off as a badA ss. Where as Danny has to be a tough guy all the time and wants everyone to know it. Say what you will but the way Dildo acts, especially in this day and age of political correctness, he would've been fired a long, long time ago. To me today's cop shows are all about who looks better. It's all about perfect tan. Perfect muscles. Perfect tits andA ss. But whatever it comes down to.. Danny/Donny is a total Douchebag!!!
shareno he wouldnt have i know cops who are even into illegal activity an get away with it
shareIn the pilot, Danny tortured a suspected kidnapper by sticking his head in the toilet and the judge dismissed the charges because of that. Erin and Danny had harsh words over this. But it calls to mind Dirty Harry's much more severe actions to get his kidnapping suspect to confess. Danny's an angel compared to Harry.
shareactually there are lots of people who act like that an in real no no one would beat his ass at the worst he would get in a fight with one of his partners but thats it in real life nobody goes out of there way to ever pick a fight with a cop unless there a gang or on drugs an even then it usually ends with them getting beat down by a tazer as for how tough he is in real life every knows the this guy an his brother grew up beating people up lol
shareHis acting is just terrible on this show. I know that he has a Boston accent but he over does the NY accent on this show and it's kinda distracting because it's not only bad, but no one else in his family has anywhere close to his urban NY accent.
shareYou don't gotta like Danny..
shareI recommend watching him on the 00s series 'Boomtown"...he was nothing like this Danny punk, that I can remember..might be interesting people who hate Danny to catch up on that show..(people I know who follow a lot of celeb talk-show appearances tell me that both Wahlberg brothers are intolerable big-headed pains these days)
I gave up on him in that episode, maybe, 'worst case scanrio" ? was it, re the terror attack.
A guy approaches them to give up his muslim buddy and give them a vital tip, and b4 you know it Danny has his hands all over the guy and is pushing him over the car hood, like a crackpipe collar on COPS...
Mind you when the stripper called in an equally vital break, she is treated with sneering disdain by that other idiot Janko..
i have no idea who told you that but mark wahlberg is a very nice person i have no idea what this one is like in real life
shareI don't know about the rest of y'all, but imo, Donny W. hasn't been the same since he married that ridiculous bimbo Jenny McSlutty. He got bj'ed into marrying that crazy pair of falsies, and now he thinks he's god's gift to women (clearly he doesn't own a mirror - and spends a lot of $$$ having people tell him how "awesome/handsome" he is, and his Mommy tells him how great an actor he is - NOT!!) Once Jenny has gotten every ounce of limelight out of having married him, she'll be off to the next fool, and Donny will cry the blues, yada yada blah blah........I don't think he contributes a character of any significance to the show, and I'm sure once the Producers finally realise that, his brother Paul will give him a job doing dishes in one of the family burger joints, lol!!! (don't forget, y'all - just my opinion!!!)

Better to keep your mouth shut and be thought an idiot - than to open it and remove all doubt!
