Since this is a Terrence Malick film and a magnolia picture, which they've been releasing quite a few titles of lately. Do you think we will see a criterion release of this? I do hope so. It is my favorite film in a very long time and my favorite Malick film.
I'm really pleased to know I'm not alone. Granted, EVERY new Malick film I see is my favorite Malick film. But I loved this film on first viewing and then again in my next two viewings.
I hope it gets a Criterion release with an extended cut. As much as it seems sacrilege to have deleted scenes for a Malick film, I would loved to see how some of the cut actors factored in. I'd love to see how Rachel Weisz cautioned Rachel MacAdams and especially would love to see some of the scenes with Rachel and Olga that they referenced at TIFF but had been cut from the film.
Oh, I just love this film! It is my number one of the year so far. I hope that it gets a Criterion release. I would love to see more scenes with Javier & Ben and Javier & Olga.
I don't think so. Magnolia acquired home video rights too. But I don't think it would made a huge difference since the DVD/BD versions are generally made from the DI source material (the theatrical DCP version gets a blu ray standard transfer), so the picture quality would be the exact same.
