Rachel McAdams sequence and the music

Can someone tell me whats the music playing in the Rachel McAdams scene, when they're playing in the field with the red dress. That music is beautiful!

The music in that scene is from Respighi's Ancient Airs and Dances, Suite No. 2.

Is it? It sounds different...do you have a link?

Still very beautiful but that's not it.

Here, this is the scene: http://themomentpassed.tumblr.com/post/134230217746/when-jane-feels-free-for-the-first-time-after the music kicks in at 1:20 until the video ends.

I'm sorry, I was thinking of a different scene, NOT one with Rachel McAdams in it (contrary to what you so clearly stated). Mea culpa.

Let's try this again, this time with the right clip. For this one, try the third movement of Rauravaara's Cantus Arcticus, https://youtu.be/TO3YRZWLvQo?t=784.

It looks like the version in the film is the Naxos one by the Royal Scottish National Orchestra, with Hannu Lintu conducting. I have it on CD and I recommend it. It's available for download here: www.classicalarchives.com/album/636943414729.html (and probably other places as well).

It's the whooping which makes the scene so intriguing to me. Actually, I'd like to know just how many audio tracks are running at once in that scene. It is visually and sonically quite remarkable. 1John4:4

The whooping you hear is part of the music. The Cantus Arcticus is subtitled "Concerto for Birds and Orchestra," and it incorporates taped birdsongs. The third movement is "Swans Migrating," with sounds of whooper swans, which Wikipedia tells me are Eurasian counterparts of the North American trumpeter swan.

So Malick likes a piece of music with a tie-in to birds. Imagine that. Thanks.
