That bison scene took my breath away
Seeing that on the big screen has stuck with me and it was pretty cool 'cause I heard a collective gasp from the house. It took everyone's breath away.
Very cool

So many scenes of Malick's films take my breath away and fill my eyes with tears of joy and beauty. My favorite are the upward shots of the sky as the camera zooms past the characters looking up at it. The camera work in his films is unlike anything.
"Whether I left society or it me I cannot say. I suppose you could make an argument for both sides."
I prefer Yamaguchi's epic 1,000 days in Waganaki with it's downward shots of the sky-technically astounding.
shareI couldn't help but think of how Ed Wood spliced in a heard of stampeding buffaloes into one of his movies for no reason.
