I dont understand what was the point of the twist at the end.
why would the friend guy even Suggest Snow to go in the mission and find Mace? Mace would have told him about the briefcase.
If the ansnwer was that he hoped Snow would die and fail, then who would rescue the girl?
Snow was already going to jail for 30 years, why would the guy need him to die on top of it? it just made no sense
Well; the twist was thrown in for the sake of having a "WTF" moment in the film. After all; who would suspect Shaw being the mole given how much he helped Show?
As for the plan; Shaw was most likely hoping that Snow would sacrifice himself so that the Prez's daughter would escape in the single passenger pod. Notice not only is Shaw surprised that Snow has survived; he's even more shocked when Snow tells him he was able to retrieve the briefcase.
