I would've loved more focus on Tucker and Specs

Specifically Specs. Leigh Whannel is great.

Are you kidding? Their awkward attempt at awkward humor? The whole thing was awkward. It was like when they stepped in they were obviously acting as the obligatory comic relief characters. Seriously. Barely a laugh heard until they showed up. Like "Derp! It's funny when he said 'Helps us weed out the nutjobs' when he took a bite out of the roll and said it in a stern voice because it makes him sounds like a nutjob and that's why it funny DERP!"

I agree they were great, but if they want to be funny by using awkward humor... Then make it funny... Not awkward because the awkward attempt at banter wasn't funny.

I didn't say they were funny. I believe they were supposed to... Metaphorically speak for the audience. They've seen it all. Tucker represents the jaded horror fan whose seen it all and doubts anything will be up to his standards, basically the guy who's like "this is bull *beep* at the theatre showing of a hyped movie. Specs is more the average horror fan versed in the know-how of the genre. I thought it would have been better if the focus was more on them and their point of view. Not their cheesy jokes.

Is that your analysis of the characters? Or is it from Wan or Whannell themselves. I think they'll have more screen time in the third chapter. I still enjoyed them, though.

Just my analysis. It may not be completely intentional on Wan & Whanell's part, but that's how I like to see them. Makes the movies more enjoyable. Haha.
