The most terrifying movie I've ever seen(if not THE most terrifying)

I've seen it all. I consider myself a horror movie fanatic. And this is the first movie in which I came out of the movie in hysterics-both laughing and crying at the same time lol. I was almost convulsing lol. Of course,I probably shouldn't have watched it having just coming out remission from cancer,a siezures and a heart condition lol.

This movie was not scary. The only movies I've seen in the last 10 years that was scary was Jeepers Creepers and Paranormal Activity part ONE. and Saw part ONE. Ahem.

see,I'm the complete opposite.I didnt think those were scary at all.everyone has their own personal fright factor,I guess

I just don't get the hype with this movie. I loved to be scared and this movie was far from scary. The antagonist looked like Darth Maul, not scary.

This wasn't scary at all. Definitely deserved the PG 13 rating. Blah.

I agree. This was genuinely scary and creepy. I think mainly because I believe the devil to be a real entity and definitely at work in our world.

reply

Agreed. However, I read the end of the book(the bible). And God wins haha!

The old woman creeped me out for a long time. Hadn't found an antagonist that creepy since Samara from the Ring or the Creepy woman from the Grudge.

I see myself as quite a fan of horror and the first half of this was very very scary so I enjoyed it, but after the seance scene and Josh entered The Further it became cheesy, predictable and downright ridiculous. Still entertaining though

huh, i have to say i'm quite surprised by all the threads in this board saying how scary this movie was

i thought it was just a generic ghost story

so many movies, so little time
