Is it like Cyrus...

or is it better or worse?

Much better.

Cyrus was a decent film but i enjoyed this quite a lot more. And in terms of story, its nothing like Cyrus at all, despite the central characted being a bit of a 'loser' that still lives with his mum.

Better, give it a go, you won't be dissapointed!

It's not like Cyrus except its a dramedy with some mainstream comedians in lead roles. In my mind, Cyrus was an excellent movie and this is just okay. This movie had a few more laughs but the story, writing, and acting was worse.

Cyrus was a lot more interesting.

I thought it was similar to Cyrus in that many people expected a run-of-the-mill comedy, which neither film is (thankfully) - it's more a character study with some dysfunctional people working out a way to get along with each other and how to life their lives. I enjoyed Cyrus more but that's just a personal thing.

Oh yeah, "Nothing like Cyrus." I guess that every movie has big name comedic actors playing in serious, low budget, limited release indie mumblecore films involving an older guy still living with his parents who's unemployed who refuses to get a job and leave the nest.

Exactly my thoughts!

I was thinking more Cyrus/Napoleon Dynamite esque.
