How come his skin is bad in this?

I noticed that too. It could be a couple of things. He might wear a ton of makeup on HIMYM. Or they purposely made his skin look worse because he's supposed to be a slacker/pothead (pot is supposed to be bad for your skin, and living in a basement doesn't do wonders for it I'm sure). Or his skin really looks like that and it was the lighting, camera angles, etc.

I don't think moles are caused by skin neglect, aren't they just natural?

Yah he's pretty hard to look at in this movie, but that's the point, he's supposed to be some loser that doesn't take care of himself. BUT they keep spray tanning him in some movies and it looks so terrible, esp around his mouth. Ugh was watching 5 year engagement the other day, and same thing with this spray tan. Very bad makeup

Sorry to come so late to the party but...

I had been noticing over the years Jason Segal's been on HIMYM and his being heavily freckled. He also seems to be a bit of a sun worshiper as the beginning of each season, he's tan and thin. By the end of each season, he's heavier and pale.

In seeing his skin so messed up in this movie I have to wonder if he doesn't have some sort of skin condition that responds well to being exposed to sunlight? I know Rosacea is one of those...
