Does anyone know of any similar films?

This one seemed fairly unique to me but just wondering if anyone can think of anything similar.

Around the same time I saw this film I also watched a movie called A Bag of Hammers. Its not really similar in terms of plot, besides the coming of age elements, but it was fairly similar in terms of genre. I too wanted to find more movies like Jeff Who Lives at Home so I went hunting for more good dramedies.

The Puffy Chair is a good one.

The Station Agent has some of the same qualities. The Visitor and You Can Count On Me have some as well, and City Island.

Similar in what way? In the way they are shot, or in their plot?

If you are talkng about in the way the movie is shot, then the movies "Dan In Real Life" and "Everything Must Go" are somewhat similar. I would probably lump "Adventureland" in there as well.

In terms of plot?

Stepbrothers is basically the slapstick comedy version of this film.

You and Me And Everyone We Know

came on here to check, as I thought Jeff was by the same writer/director. It isn't. It's striking how alike these two movies are. Even the music was simular.

You'll enjoy it.

It's similar to "Signs", in that it deals with synchronicity. But tonally, I'd say "Safety Not Guaranteed" had a very similar vibe.

You and Me and Everyone We Know; Shop Girl (and if Steve Martin's "The Pleasure of My Company" is ever made into a movie, that will be similar); Station Agent. Quite stores about good people doing the best they can and finding redemption.

Lars and The Real Girl is another odd movie which is done well and entertaining.

The subtlety and tone of the movie reminded me of Punchdrunk Love. Completely different storyline, but also a sweet, low-key film about a man who lives on the margins, and his search for something more out of life.

Not similar in story, but the feel of the movie reminded me of Lars and the Real Girl, as someone already mentioned, and also Little Miss Sunshine. I have to say I loved this move! I hadn't heard of it and was expecting it to be an average comedy when I saw it on sky on demand, but it really moved me, in the same way the two films I've mentioned did.
