I don't like looking at him, especially with a goatee. They should have have cast Jude Law. He's as tall as Jason Segal and he looks just like Susan Sarandon.

Except Jude Law is British, and if he were to do an American accent, it would probably be sketchy. I like Ed Helms, but basing his ability to act on his looks is very judgemental. I couldn't fault the casting here.

Ed Helms also doesn't have the acting chops he couldn't contend with the on screen presence of Segal. He is only good when he's the but of jokes like in Hangover and old Office episodes. No matter how sketch his accent might have been Jude Law would have made the movie work (pretty much anyone besides Helms would have worked better).

What's with the raging boner to have Jude in this movie?? Jude Law would have been a terrible pick. He doesn't fit into this movie in the slightest.

Have to agree mostly with Helms being a bad cast job.
They took that standard maneuver of adding a goatee to a guy normally without facial hair, in order to show that he's not nice. Like in old cartoons, Westerns, or suspect "indie" films. They altered his look in a cheap way to match his persona. Not good enough.
His acting range is limited. I'm sure he could do an angry, realistic character. Just not this type.
He's as tall as Jason SegalUh what? Jason Segel is 6'4" and Jude Law is 5'11". Ed Helms is 6'0". share
I found him very attractive, especially in the scene where he was running, his butt looked nice lol.
