fastest rope climb?

of those who have achieved ultimate victory, which competitor has completed the rope climb with the greatest amount of time remaining? Has anyone bested Caldiero's mark of 3.86 seconds left?

reply

I think Urushihara Yuuji had like 6.71 seconds left in Sasuke 27. Akiyama Kazuhiko (first person to complete all 4 stages) had like 6 seconds left.

You probably shouldn't go by time left because there's other factors at play.
I don't think the climb distance is necessarily the same nor do I think the climb itself is the same (some actually had a rope ladder or spider climb for the first half that turned into a straight rope climb). I also think some may have been given more time than the 30 secs that ANW gave.

I imagine there are more elements that come into play and that the Japanese rope climb is not the same if TWO contestants there beat Isaac be a few seconds in getting up the rope

considering he is a world class rock climb and practically perfect for that (all he EVER does is climb) its hard to believe nearly anyone could beat him in a climb

If i go crazy will you still call me Superman?

reply

Too hard to compare I think. I'm pretty sure they aren't even the same distances. The Japanese one is probably close but I believe it is measured in meters.

I know this is a little off subject, but does anyone know what ever happened to Brian Orosco? It seems like he just disappeared around 5 years ago. I don't remember how old he was, but he certainly wasn't "over the hill"!

According to his Wiki, He was in every season of American Ninja Warrior until last year (season 7) when he didn't compete, but since they started doing the course in Vegas and cut the boot camp stuff, he never made it past qualifying. He lost in boot camp in seasons 3, then failed in qualifying in seasons 4, 5, and 6.

Just because you are too stupid to understand it, it does not mean that it is a plot hole
