Captain NBC (Jamie Ranh)

They didn't show Jamie Ranh's run. He was shown on top of the warped wall after completing the course. NBC should show the complete runs of the contestants who hit the button. I only watch the runs, not the back stories because I am not interested in the backgrounds of the contestants.

They did that with a few of the vets this year including brian arnold

He's got to be wondering what he has to do to get some attention.

reply

Yeah bummed out that they're skipping the vets for a few more tear moments.

I'm guessing that they're focusing more on newcomers because they expect the veterans to be around longer, and we'll see more of them as the season goes on.

While we're on the subject, why is Jamie called "Captain NBC"? I only just got into this series, so I don't know.

Jamie got famous because he came in with a "crappy" looking NBC logo on his chest. Each year that he came back, his Captain NBC costume got more and more elaborate.

It's an entertainment show, not a sports show.

I like the back stories and once the course has been conquered seeing people go through it over and over will get boring. I agree with the producers decision to only show the exciting runs and focusing on the touching stories. It's how the viewers get vested in the runners.
