No joking. No trolling. That is a serious thing and there is nothing funny about that.
Now with that being said. Am I the only one that got a "self serving" vibe from it? Like he did it to have attention put on him? Might just be me being a crappy person.

Yes, he benefits SO much from telling the world he was sexually abused as a child. Now he will get so many product endorsements, he will be RICH! Plus the judges will be easier of him so he his results will be greater on this show. Oh wait...there are no judges.
Honestly, instead of it being self-serving, perhaps his goal was to be a voice for thousands upon thousands of children out there who are being sexually abused, but aren't speaking out about it, so the abuse continues? And if they can see Flip on youtube or TV talking about how it happened to him and how keeping it quiet was so hurtful to him? Now who knows how many kids will gain strength from what Flip has done and will try reaching out again to an adult so that their pain and misery stops.
Implying Flip did this for personal gain is quite an a#####e move. reply share
As long as NBC doesn't play it up too much I'm okay with it. Perhaps some good came of it whether for Flip personally and/or for the audience it reached.
