Wow, no thread on Jessie Graff at the LA finals
I was seriously impressed. Especially with how close she got to completing the obstacle after the wedge.

shareI would lick the sweat off her abs.
shareI was impressed also. I am still wondering about that wedge obstacle, but really can't come up with a good explanation as to why she was able to complete it while all the others failed besides the college student.
shareI think that obstacle was really tough because no one had any experience doing anything like it. If you think about it, have you ever had any experience swinging on something unstable that the harder you swing, the more unstable it becomes? That is something that takes practice to deal with and the only real chance you are going to have getting through it on your first attempt is dumb luck.
shareDon't the competitors watch each other's runs? Unless it's just editing tricks, it looks like they do watch in an attempt to figure out what to do. And since so many of them are good friends/training partners, I would imagine that those who've already run the course will pass on tips to the others to help them get through it. Or do they have rules against sharing hints?
I am sure they do watch. But, seeing something and doing it are very different beasts. Plus, the bar probably acted quite different depending on how much you weigh. (it possibly favored lighter contestants)
I wonder about tip sharing. Since last year NBC made it clear that it's not a team effort I wonder if people are being more tight lipped about their experience on the course to stay competitive.
It took a pole vaulter to understand the dismount on the wedge. Jessie is my hero
shareAbsolutely awesome. I feel like this is the first time where a female contestant on the show actually earned some real kudos. I mean she almost came in first on one of the toughest city finals courses without a handicap against a bunch of elite men. That is highly impressive.
shareAgreed. She deserves all the praise she can get.
WE GOT MOVIE SIIIIIGN!
Marvel should have cast her as Captain Marvel!
WE GOT MOVIE SIIIIIGN!
In the ad for Vegas, they only showed Jessie. I hope that she makes it past Stage 1.
