Geoff Britten

Bummer and a big surprise to see him taken out on the first obstacle! He's one of my favorites and I was rooting for him to repeat his success from last year. I think he just took it too fast. Hopefully he'll be back next year.

His daughter made me laugh, though. He tried to go and hug her and she just pushed him away. She was MAD! XD

I was super bummed for Geoff. I was really looking forward to him maybe winning it this time. Well, he won it but he was screwed over.

Really disappointed too, I like Geoff....but he took it in stride, smiling, saying that "That's American Ninja Warrior..."

Still would've loved to see him progress rather than some of the damn show-offs and arrogant turds like Dreschel and Murray, I just wish they would run the course without their stupid, juvenile antics...and then Dreschel with his "I don't have any weaknesses"...here's hoping for a FAIL for him in Stage 2...

Hooray for The Weatherman, always enjoy watching Joe Moravsky compete...

Buck up Geoff, you are STILL the FIRST American Ninja Warrior :)

That is consistent with his attitude. IMO, he's a real winner that has earned what he has received and takes a loss with style. He's one of my favorite competitors.

He seems like a nice guy. I wouldn't feel that bad I were him since he already won...NBC just owes him a million dollars.

Your right to an opinion does not equal an opinion that is right

reply

Agreed, I love his attitude. He's confident but very aware that all it takes is one misstep to fail, and he keeps it all in perspective that it's just a TV show competition.

I'll also be rooting for Joe Moravsky for the next stages, along with Jessie Graff!

reply

Really you have Drew as a jerk but like Moravsky? He is a bigger douche and his wife has permanent bitch face.

reply

What are you even talking about?

ROB Moravsky is a douche.

Joe is fine and his wife is always just cheering...

What am I gonna do... with a gun rack?

reply

Yep...Drew lost me a couple of years back when he finished the course in the fastest time but then stood atop the warped well yelling and screaming and being upset because he wanted a "Sub 40" time...Arrogant turd...and then this year with his "I don't have any weaknesses"...Can't stand him...he's overrated IMHO, and tired of them showing him and his "Roomie" McGrath all the time...

But to each his own, that's the beauty of this, we all can like and dislike different Ninjas...there is no right or wrong answer, just personal preferences :)

reply

LOL he didn't take anything in stride. Did you listen to him answer Kristine's questions after he fell? He was acting like a jerk and being very standoffish.

reply

I got a weird done vibe from that post run interview.

The way he said "That's Ninja Warrior." felt like he was done with it.

Then she asked him about training and he said "Training? Well I'm gonna go back home be a good husband and a good dad and I'm gonna be very happy about it."

Hopefully he comes back but I won't be surprised if he doesn't.

reply

All these people love the attention...he'll be back.

reply

Yeah, I had gotten the same vibe but had hoped it was wrong. But according to his Facebook, seems like that is the case.

reply

One of the people I was watching with insisted that he took a dive (metaphorically of course. we all know he did literally)so that he would be out of the running. Seems farfetched to me personally.

reply

Yeah, I don't think that's the case at all. He was competing for a million dollars! And he knew from the past that he was capable of completing all four stages. It looks like he just took the steps too fast and slipped.

reply

Brett Steffenson looked like he deliberately let go of the log....probably he misjudged where the mat was but maybe he was taking a dive.

reply

Not to me. Brent had a good idea which was to push off of the log so that one has more control over landing in the proper place. He just did it a little too early and the lower half of his body touched the water.
