Fairies cant attend christenings.

Forreal fairies do not step foot on church grounds and do not go to christenings. Really according to folklore some could not stand the sound of church bells and had a aversion to christian services. Yes Charles Perrault Sleeping beauty was based off of old folklore "Jeu de folie du Trouvere Adam de la Halle" that has the same elements.The story tells how three fairy ladies were summoned to come to a banquet but the haggish one named Maglore was offended on how her cutlery was presented and she cursed the host with baldness.What you saw was more of a pagan rite that had ancient customs to name giving not a christening.

I think you're taking this a little more serious than you should. They're not operating off of our folklore. Even if they were, you know Disney like many other studios will tweak it. Just read some of the fairytales we grew up with. A lot of it was pretty violent and a tad gory. In the story Cinderella, one stepsister cuts off her toe to get the glass slipper to fit, and the other cuts off a part of her heel to achieve the same results. Best not to get too heavily invested in it. Saves disappointment.

But the feminist get hard and heavy and take it seriously all the time. Many say that fairies tales are bad for young girls and it teaches them to be weak and dependent on a man. That is the reason why Elsa did not get a suitor. Fairies tales were use more for moralistic lessons not some romance stories. Yes fairy tales were dark but they were even darker way before Jacob Grimm. The fairies themselves were not at all cute many were very grostesque looking and would punish those severely who upset them. I think some need to know the origins of these stories to know that it is not anti-feminist at all. Cinderella has witchlike qualities; glamour, connections to nature spirits, her name, and having a fairy godmother. Also the birds in the story pecked out her sisters eyes in which she commanded them too. The birds were substituted for nature spirits. She is not some weakling waiting for prince charming in which a lot of them said she was. Im just tired of folks coming after fairy tales and dont know the full scale origins.

You are confusing two different things. The feminists are talking about how fiction affect how people perceive reality. You are talking about fictional rules within stories no different from what kind of engine an X-Wing have or how many times you have to role dice to determine if a wizard can casf spells.
