Just end it now!

Gets worse with each episode.

reply

Nah you can just stop watching it and it can keep going for people who still enjoy it you selfish bastard.

reply

I’m sorry someone is forcing you to watch it

reply

This episode was pretty terrible, with so many ridiculous plot lines.

reply

Agreed.

reply

That is what I am saying. It is all so ridiculous. I liked the show when it was well written and realistic. Some of these storylines are just off the wall. Season 4 was the best season IMO. It had everything. Now it is just pure silliness.

reply

I still watch it and will most likely continue, but you are right about the silliness.

I enjoy “enhanced” reality but I want it still tethered to some degree of believability.

The entire Frank plot line this week is just off the charts stupid....none of it, from him being a sex toy to the PTA venereal disease prison, is remotely believable.

reply

It's like they are just trying to go way too far out there. Most of it is so far from anything that is believable that I wonder if 16 year old boys are writing for the show now. I know many people who have just given up on it.

reply

You could take Skank Frank right out of the show, and I’d like it more. IRL, none of the PTA women would give him the time of day, let alone the time of his life. They certainly wouldn’t have unprotected sex with him! I did love it, on a related note, when Lip’s Maid of Honor boinkjob let him know that he’s a sexual kitten! Oh, I’ve been waiting for that. Out of all the unbelievable things about Shameless, Number One is the sexual magnetism of Lip and Frank. Number Two is the family’s brainless devotion to self-destructively supporting members who are clearly beyond help, e. g., Ian.

reply

(SPOILERS) I have to agree that it is going downhill but I will still watch it until the end. Like others have said, a dirty looking old man like Frank isn't going to get laid by numerous younger beautiful women. The Ian storyline is beyond absurd, Gay Jesus WTF? Lip just hands a junkie 10 grand, that's going to work out well for the kid he is trying to protect.

Even the stuff with the bar. Number 1 rapey bar, huh? Now Debbie likes girls? At least that really happens in real life but still. I used to look forward to the next episode and watch it immediately. I didn't watch last week's episode until this week. I hope things pick up and get better, we will see.

reply

I haven't watched it since the first episode this season. I just have no interest. They should have ended at season 4.

reply

This Election Day episode was pretty bad....all preachy stuff, nothing you could really call funny and only Lip’s storyline had any actual emotion.

reply

I agree. The show needs to end. The episodes have become cringe-worthy.

reply

When I really care about a series, e.g., Game Of Thrones, Westworld, Counterpart, Big Little Lies, Banshee, I’ll watch each episode twice: the night that it debuts, and one or two nights before the next episode. I want to
have everything fresh in my mind. I enjoy that. I used to do that with Shameless.

I’ve stopped.

reply

I'll keep watching but with Cameron Monaghan (Ian) gone and Emmy Rossum (Fiona) not re-upping her contract, it's going to be a little boring watching Shameless center around William H. Macy (Frank).

I hope Showtime does the right thing and gives it a proper sendoff. If they renew without Emmy then they're seriously out of their friggin' minds.

I used to rewatch every episode before the next new one, to enjoy every nuance of what’s to come. I got, what?, 5 minutes into my review of episode 9.8, saw Katy Sagal, whom I now despise for being Gemma in Sons of Anarchy, and thought (censored), “I’m not watching this.” Stick the proverbial fork in it. It’s all over. Sad.
