Never should have been made.
This movie has turned out to be a franchise killer.
Killing of Duke, probably one of the worse decision ever made by a studio executive.
Not bring back the Joes from the first movie was stupid.
This movie was not good.
For years I vowed not to watch it because i was very upset that the cast from the first film were killed off. Many, many years later I decided to give it a try. Unfortunately, I was not satisfied at all. It was boring and so lackluster. After about 45 minutes in, I gave up. There were so many things that I didn't like about the movie. The main reasons being:
* The Rock taking over. Roadblock was not a team leader.
* Flint was actually the 2nd in command after Duke in the 80s cartoon but he is downgraded in the movie.
* I hated that Lady Jaye didn't have the short cut she does in the cartoon.
* The movie lacked the fun and excitement of the first movie.
* For all the "changes for the better", this movie made less than the 1st domestically. Worldwide it made more but not
dramatically so.
I guess the powers that be thought the likes of The Rock & Bruce Willis would make it a better movie. It didn't. It felt like The Rock & Willis show and not an ensemble G.I. Joe production.
When I see The Rock is in any movie I run like hell. Hate the mutherfucker. That guy can kill any franchise.
