So wait a minute....(spoilers)

The first scene is of the parents waking up because of a noise. The mother gets up and sees her daughter, blah blah blah. Later, Ryan is shown interacting with "Carrie Ann" who is clearly the girl from the scene where she kills the parents.

Now if Ryan is indeed the person who killed the parents, why use the same actress as the first Carrie-Ann chained up in the basement? If it wasn't the first actress, she sure looked JUST like her.

I know we're supposed to believe Carrie-Ann is the killer. But using the same actress was cheap fakery.

The movie was ok...I was actually really impressed by Max T.'s performance. I had only seen him in Bates Motel, and I thought he was pretty damn attractive. But after this movie, he seems little and weird and creepy. That's a good actor.

I don't think it was the same actress....
However....if the real CarrieAnne died because of the swing accident, wouldn't the whole town know this? How could they manage to hide this from everyone? Wouldn't someone realize they now dress their son up as a girl?
This movie is just one giant plot hole.

They could have kept him in the house for a few years. Kids grow up and their facial structure changes. If he was feminine looking enough and bore a resemblance to his sister it might have been difficult to notice the difference.

The parents were abusive junkies, and they lived in what looked like a pretty remote place. It's plausible they kept to themselves and didn't interact much with anyone. The kids might not have been sent to school, for example.

No know one in town knew she was dead, they never reported it, they just buried her themselves, I'm guessing in the woods behind their house, then they turned Ryan into Carrie-anne and completely f!@#$d him up they then told people he was sent to an Aunts to live with her, then when Ryan/Carrie-anne killed the parents he became Ryan again who everyone just assumed came back from the Aunts. The only person who may have known what had really gone on was the shady cop.

The 'Carrie Anne' actor in the first scene is actually Ryan dressed as a girl. Saw on HD, paused at that scene - she was clearly a guy.
