The show is shot in England now because it costs half.
It means that they have to fly over and stay there for 4 month.
If your family lives half around the world 4 month is a long time to stay away.
So lets see how it turns out, but there was another show where they moved it from LA to NY, and two actors jumped ship because they don't want to live in NY.
It's always been shot in the UK

UK and LA.
Seen loads of talkshow interviews with the three leads, on both American and British TV. They all have been stating from the start that it's almost exclusively shot in the UK, with only a few exterior shots done in the US (but apparently even most of the outdoors scenes are from the UK).
IMDb-boards would be less confusing if people would mark their signatures clearly.
