I liked it in this instance.

I am in a thousand winds that blow,
I am the softly falling snow.

There's good and bad CG smoke. If it had been good CG smoke you wouldn't have noticed it.

reply

I thought it was fine and went well the dreamy feel.

reply

I think that was the point. The smoke was intentionaly blury and dreamy. It suited the mood.

reply

The computer generated smoke plume was to replicate a fire at an industrial plant. Smoke burning in the distance would have been impractical.

Why pollute when CGI can be used? I can suspend disbelief for poor CGI that lasts for three seconds. Especially when I know that no planets were harmed in the filming of this movie. :-)

reply

Technically it costs a fair amount of man-power and energy to make CGI. And yes, it's great that no planets were harmed in this movie :P

reply

Well, was it supposed to be that bad looking? I mean seriously the cgi at the end was so awful, it was cruel.

reply

The awful CG here took me out of the story.
