When AJ threw Tess off the water tower the mother creature couldn't jump off the ground and break her fall.

This isn't how gravity works everything falls at the same speed. Wind resistance can effect terminal velocity but they didn't jump off a plane it was just a water tower. This scene was silly because it breaks physics but it was still a lovely scene. That mother creature really loved Tess and was willing to risk it's life to save her. When she realized Tess was shot she was heart broken it bothered me that Tess murdered it after it saved her. Mother wanted Tess back at the house but that would have killed her. Seeing Rapist murderous AJ get his was satisfying.

I agree with you all the way. I had the same thought when I saw that.

Please beware about the info you put in your topics, though. Out of curiosity, some people check the topics just to have an idea of how the movie is perceived, or in search of a specific info, before deciding to watch it. :)

Heavier object have a faster terminal velocity. It's technically possible the mother could have landed before Tess, but the height of the water tower was probably too short for that.
