How is anyone in Garden State a "hipster" - People throw this word around without even knowing what it means. The "insult" of being a hipster is someone who postures being quirky and artsy but is really very shallow and only into the "look" - whereas there really ARE people who are interesting and artistic who happen to wear vintage clothes or nerd glasses, who are genuine humans. You could call them hipsters as well, not as an insult.
Also, no one in Juno was a hipster.
