The voices in the voices
Who the heck voices the cat and dog? It's driving me crazy!
shareI came here looking for the same answer and did some googling. An NY Times article I came across says Ryan voices them himself.
shareYes! Ryan Reynolds voices both the cat and dog.
shareHe was on talk shows this week. It is him. He said he didn't get paid a cent more . I found him very high and mighty for a movie that is going straight to cable. I'm sure he got paid enough. This looks awful. He's better than this. I think he has had more tv success than movies. He definitely doesn't seem to get hired very often. I have found him very unlikeable in "real life"

+1
shareHe said he didn't get paid a cent moreNever seen the interview but am 100% positive he was just making a joke about not getting extra money for the voices. Don't be so thick headed

Are you seriously calling someone thick headed, for believing that an actor would agree to do voiceover work on a movie he is already working on when the budget is smaller than most of his movies and he already accepted a much small paycheck because he did it for the love of the movie, same as he did with deadpool.... you say dont be thick head, i say dont be so assumptious and naive, plenty of actors lend their voice to voiceovers for free when working on movies if it helps, except for those who are in it purely for the money alone.
shareUmm, exactly what I meant. Without a 500 word rant. They do not get extra for a voice over. So yes, I called the guy thick headed for thinking he was being greedy about extra money... He was kidding.
It's one of the best performances he's ever done.
Have you considered he hasn't done much work because he recently had a child and actually wanted to spend time with him like any father would....
They actually had a girl but aren't sharing info since they such huge stars. she was named James, which is gender neutral. That may have confused you.
He talked about the baby quite a bit. He said if anything demanded his wife's time like the baby did, he'd kill it.
It was a little tiny show called Live with Kelly and Michael. They are on YouTube. Feel free to watch it. I'm sure it will endear you more to him.
um, james is still a boy's name...
lmao giving a girl a boy's name doesn't make it gender neutral....
It's mercy, compassion and forgiveness I lack. Not rationality...
Names aren't gender specific. People make them that way. Maxwell, Emerson, Michah are all babies assigned female born to celebrities the past couple of years. You can laugh your ass off all you want. Both sexes have those.
shareNames aren't gender specific.
Not sure if James is gender neutral or not, but Jamie is common enough for boys and girls.
Tommy... how's the peeping?
Yeah, plus he's said they're going to take turns working since the baby was born.
Tommy... how's the peeping?
The film was in cinemas so did not go straight to cable, I thought the voices were great especially Bosco
shareyou make me want to live to be 150, mj7796-386-393455. this was actually really good. the end credits alone are one of the best i've seen in a movie ever.
shareGlad I gave you a reason to live. Didn't he know he had such a following for his dark films. I saw it free and it wasn't in any movie theaters in our city. Tier 1 market too.
I'm sure his new film with the Austrian painting will break records. Just like Monuments Men.

I did see the film. I found it disturbing. He has always been seen as a comedic actor, not a dramatic actor. I don't see this as a transition to the dramatic genre. He can do better than this. He will pick the right movie eventually that will garner more attention than People's Choice awards. He is usually on target making movies people want to see. He has the potential to make movies on a Clooney or Pitt level although I have seen him more on the Hugh grant level. Unfortunately he ticked off DC and Marvel, so I think he's done with super hero movies.
Hubris is such a big word for a little girl that touts valuing opinions and then calls people names. I think you are more high and mighty than I appear. Guess I can ignore you now. Or you can add me to your long hungry list.
I am in the marketing side of the business. I ignore signs and form my own opinions. Although I don't think any major restaurants have used signs since the 1960's. You must frequent Waffle House.

He does a pretty good Matthew Mcounghney impression (Bosco)
shareReynolds voices them because they are parts of his inner psyche, the good and the bad at war within himself.
It's too cerebral! We're trying to make a movie here, not a film!
As others have already stated, Reynolds supplied all the voices. That makes sense since his character is responsible for the psychotic voices in his head, which he attributes to his cat, dog, and the decapitated heads in the fridge.
I love this movie and believe it's a contender for a new millennium "Psycho" that doesn't mask the pathos, humor, or gore of the characters. Even Alma and Alfred Hitchcock would be pleased... I think.
"I write Stargate fan fiction so I think I know what I'm talking about..."
It was Reynolds indeed, and I did not recognise him!
I've never been a fan, but he did a great job in this movie.
It was amazing. Kinda terrifying, sad and funny at the same time.
My personal favourite was Gemma Arterton. Gorgeous lady and solid acting, as always.
I love how much does the cats voice sounds like Ewan McGregor on Trainspotting. Its hilarious.
shareI think it's called a Scottish accent :)
shareIndeed, very much like Trainspotting.
And the dog reminded me of John Goodman.
Great job by RR.
When I'm gone I would like something to be named after me. A psychiatric disorder, for example.
The voices are the same Ryan Reynolds.
Great work..but I thing with some electronic device helping.
Oscar
Hablo mejor español :)
I was ready to bet my life that the cat was voiced by Colin Farrell and was blown away to find out Ryan Reynolds did ALL the voices himself.
🐈Jacks
Colin Farrel is irish. The accent was scottish.
shareI was surprised to find out that Ryan did the voices as well. I thought at first that Bosco was voiced by Gary Busey. Sounds just like his crazy a$$.
shareThe DVD has a commentary , it was Ryan doing the voices
