I love all animals (but I especially love cats), and as a cat lover I am the first to admit they are evil. And this is what makes them so great. The villains are always more interesting.

shareI'm sorry but the spreading of that trope has to end. It's extremely harmful. Thousands upon thousands of domestic cats are abandoned each day based on that absurd premise; 'don't worry, lil' Tommy, Furry will take care of itself, it's in its nature, it's going to be even happier that way'. NO, it's not. More likely, in three weeks' time it'll be dead rather than hunting it's own food. I'm too sick and tired of burying too many of them as to listen/read the excuses some people make up and the rest spread widely for such an abhorrent behavior without complaining loudly about it 😠.

As the psychiatrist said, we all hear voices that tell us good things and bad things. It is our duty as civilized humans to argue against the bad things and not give in to those impulses.
As for Jerry, he saw how his dog and cat acted in real life and he assigned the good and bad voices in his head appropriately to each pet. It would be fun to see how that would change if he had a bird and a fish also.
