Nazi werewolf?

Just a quick question! Why can't Scott and co sense that he is a werewolf? I'm probably pretty sure he wouldn't know how to mask his scent.

reply

i think he might be chimera, so he doesn't have a scent/isnt supernatural...

reply

nope. i think he's a real werewolf.

but it's not the first time that scott didn't realize that a person isn't a werewolf.

remember the twins and brett? he didn't know what they were.

That would explain why he agreed with Liam's girlfriend to send Theo back. He's afraid that Theo would tell them he's a chimeric.

Scott's abilities have become useless. I don't remember him using his power as a true alpha once so far this season.

reply

what is his power as a true alpha? we don't even know that.

on season 4 when he fought against the hunters and his face started to change, we got an idea.

and against Peter, all that speed and strength - such potential.

now...where has it all gone?!

It's called inconsistent writing.

I think this face changing thing wasn't a good thing. He was about to kill someone here and I think this scene wanted to show what happens when Scott changes to the dark side: He transforms into a beast like Peter or in a demon wolf like Deucalion.
When Scott stopped in time before he killed that guy, the transformation stopped too.

reply

Other than the fight with Peter when he was being controlled by something else, I think Scott always holds back when he fights. The twins warned him in season 3B that if he couldn't control the alpha power he could turn into Peter and since they all think he's "Satan in a v-neck", Peter is the last person Scott wants to be like.

reply

He couldn't cross the mountain ash barrier tonight, so that probably rules out chimera.

reply

Isn't he one of the dread doctor in a new body?

reply

No. He was the body inside the tank.

Dude, it’s Beacon Hills.

reply

I know, I meant since the were old, they could have created a body to go into when they would die like Charles Xavier putting his soul in a comatose body.

reply

They were all dead before the Nazi WW broke free.

Dude, it’s Beacon Hills.

reply

During which episode did we learn he was a Nazi werewolf again? I've been watching this season with weeks in-between some episodes sometimes. I love it, though. Scariest season yet.

His eyes turned green after he ate the Rider, he is not a were wolf, whenever he eats a supernatural, he gains their power, he was eating humans the past few days so nothing, but before he came to beacon high, he ate an Alpha thus why the red eyes and by ate i mean the Pineal gland.

I think he is a supernatural being that has the ability to steal "powers" by eating the pineal gland of his victims

When he takes out the invisible boy, his eyes turn green but he does not turn into a werewolf, it means he no longer possess werewolf abilities but now possesses the Rider's abilities (whatever they may be)

He may be another Folklore like the hell hound, the beast of gevaudan and the Wild Hunt....wonder what he is...possibly Germanic like the wild hunt....and he speaks German so yeah possibly form there, an Aesir perhaps?

Life is a joke, but atleast its a good one.

This is speculation at best. Nowhere has this been confirmed that he doesn’t keep his previous abilities.

reply

Kind of reminds me of Highlander, but different species other than human.

reply

He's a werewolf / lion mix. They had a specific name for it, I can't recall it.

reply

If he is a Löwenmensch, where did the wolf part come from? Maybe it came from whatever the Dread Doctors injected into him, thus turning into a chimera, an unintended mix (ghost rider venom) but one none the less.

reply

yeah, I thought it was silly when Theo said he was a "Löwenmensch" and Mason automatically understood the German meaning for that to be "part wolf and part lion," except that's wrong...Löwenmensch = "lion-man" in German.

Also, according to the show itself, the Dread Doctors didn't come into contact with him til after he was an Alpha Löwenmensch. I guess he was some sort of new, (super)natural chimera species... I hope his type of creature is based on some lore and not just made up for the show.

One of the many things that have always bugged me about this show is that literally everyone seemed to know the most random trivia facts that just so happen to coincide with the situation they were in.

Like, if they were dealing with rabid killer mermaids on land, someone will have known the entire history that they can just pull automatically. And then the other half are literally walking all over Beacon Hills trying to find clues as to what they're dealing with, even though they can probably just look most of it up online. I mean, where else would they have gotten that information.

It's like everyone in Beacon Hills is either a genius or a supermodel.

That part I don't mind... as long as it doesn't prevent our protagonists from being constantly challenged in new and different ways nonetheless by the villain/mystery in front of them. The show does raise the stakes pretty high for our heroes (they always end up sh!t's creek in a life-or-death situation every season somehow).

Teen Wolf's main Achilles' Heel (aside from some cringey dialogue), writing/directing-wise, is its pacing. Sometimes they rush through explanations of certain mysteries before we as an audience have a chance to digest it ourselves and sometimes the main characters take forever to say out loud what we have known for at least the past 15 minutes.

Remember when the show had a bestiary for like ten minutes? I think I only remember that so well because Scott thought Stiles meant bestiality when he said it. lmao
