It was garbage with Stiles. I'm pretty sure the real problem here is the crap writing.

I agree about the crap writing. As you know I love Stiles and I think that Dylan is a great actor. But, the writing on the show is it's main problem. After Season 3 the writing went downhill. Season 4 was terrible, season 5 was dreadful, and so far Season 6 is awful. Tonight's episode was remarkable for it's banality and tedious plot. I miss Stiles this season, but him being there wouldn't have made the writing any better. The writing is incredibly awful.

Yep, episode 1 and 5 were great, everything else is just bad, or mediocre at best. Tonights episode was boredom, Holland Roden and Dylan are carrying this show in their backs and it just got way too heavy, Scott no longer has screen presence he is weak, I dont know if its the character or the actor could be both along with writing that is not developing its main character at all, he has had nothing this season.

Derek wasn't an issue. S5 > S4
Though Derek would be the one character I'd want to come back.

Spot on. As I've said before less Stiles actually helped the show become somewhat good again for its final season.

Yeah for me at least the show hasn't been great since the old group left and the new group kind of took over. I dislike most of the new characters and only still watch for the originals. This season has been the worst of all by far for me. After the show started to go downhill Dylan was really carrying it, but without him it is really boring. I mean I still like Scott, Lydia and Malia (she has grown on me over the years) but that is about it. I did like Parrish but he hardly shows up anymore. The new group is getting most of the screen time, which makes me just want to skip about 80% of each episode.

NO in fact it's better without Stiles at least the recent seasons Stiles. Seasons 1,2 and 3a Stiles was awesome but from 3b onwards his character to a massive nosedive. Too dark, lost his wit and sense of humour basically became a bore and a shell of his former self.

Also when Stiles became the focus of the show aka from 3b onwards is when the show turned to garbage. So like it or not the fact is Stiles character is in part what ruined the show and led to its cancellation.

No, I completely agree with the opinion above.
I was a big fan of Stiles in S1 and 2, DOB's acting in S3 was beyond awesome and in general DOB is a great guy and for sure the best actor of the show.
But the character of Stiles got more and more on my nerves beginning with S4 to a point that I almost dislike him. Maybe it's the huge hype around him or how the show tries to squeeze out everything of DOB's popularity. But after being a huge Stiles fan for three seasons it makes me almost sad to say I'm happy when it's over.

No, there are quite a few people who think that.

No one bothers to listen to them because they're just dubbed haters, but to imply that there aren't any people who share the same disdain for Stiles is inaccurate.

But anyway, whether we all disagree on if Stiles being there is better or worse for the show, we can all agree that the show has declined in quality since around the third season.
