How pathetic
To me this Show just died in this episode, seriously how can Lydia have a stronger connection than Scott all previous seasons just died right there

shareYeah, a lot of eye rolling and WHAT?! from me this season, especially that garbage. Lydia has shown zero interest in Stiles romantically. She was flirty with Parrish last season and now she is suddenly the one with the strongest connection to Stiles?
shareOMG!! Seriously this isn't a pissing contest. Scott has a connection with Stiles... Lydia has a DIFFERENT connection with Stiles, and Malia has a completely different connection with Stiles. All of the them love him and "connect" with him in different ways. WHO FREAKIN CARES!
shareThey didn't say different connection, they said stronger connection.

And? None of Stiles relationships mean less just because Lydia have a strong connection with Stiles. You know who would be happy this realization?
STILES!
... and Scott wouldn't even be mad about it .
It's such bad, poor writing, they've completely retconned Lydia's character/motivations and essentially bent the entire plot to fit Stydia fan-service. Furthermore, its futile because it seems O'Brien is departing in next week's episode anyway.
shareTo me it seems the exact same thing in 3a when they were temp sacrifices for their parents..and the one that holds them under is the one that can bring them back..Lydia held stiles under..but Scott was a temp sacrifice too so he couldn't be the one to hold stiles under.
shareIt is pathetic. Just so they can satisfy the bubble gum romantic fantasies of a small fan base. It probably is a good thing that the show is going off the air. It's turned into a sad shadow of it's former self.
(Pay no attention to the man behind the curtain.)
"Stronger" is at least a bit silly, I agree, but anyone who watched season 3 and the ice baths would not find anything even slightly surprising about this latest episode.
The writing on the show has always been pretty bad, but we know from Jeff that Stiles loved Lydia for years and years and always wanted her. It made sense to mirror season three here and use the three of them separately to help Scott and show their connections to him and Stiles. It's definitely too much to show Lydia romantically in love with him, now, but he has always loved her, she has always loved him platonically and has kissed him etc., and Malia was clearly just a sleeping together thing, so I don't think it really matters anyway.
kevinsg, all of us watched season 3 and yes, the Stydia thing is still forced and ridiculous.
shareScott should be the one with the stronger connection. Not Lydia. The writers are goofing up the main premise of the show: Scott and Stiles. Just to please a small group of Stydia shippers. It is pathetic.
