Agreed. He stole this whole shindig.

reply

He really does. He was amazing in this!

reply

I adamantly agree! For me, he was the saving grace of the whole thing, and the main reason I decided to stick it out & watch the entire series. He nailed RFK's speech pattern, and even his mannerisms. I was beyond impressed w/ his dedication to the role; although it made it glaringly obvious how other actors alongside him did not commit to their roles but instead relied soley on wardrobe & make-up to transform them (Katie Holmes especially).

Barry Pepper, to me, falls within the category of Christian Bale -- brilliant actor who has been underappreciated for years and who is now about to be recognized for the incredible talent he is.

I vote Barry Pepper for Emmy AND Golden Globe!

reply

Agreed, Thought it was a very subtle and strong performance!

reply

Totally agree!

reply

agreed. what a great actor.

reply

He is a great under=rated actor. I liked his role in this except for the fake nose, I don't think they really needed to do that. Otherwise he did a great job. I hope his career gets him into some type of stardom, he's a few of the last great American actors we have left.

You notice these days American historical figures get played by brits and aussies (like the new Speilberg movie about Lincoln is having Daniel day lewis play Lincoln). I guess they are telling us there are too many Aston Kutchers and not enough Barry Pepper's.

reply

I agree. I thought Barry was the star of the production.

reply

I also agree. I was very impressed with his spot on dialect - Outstanding!

reply

One of the last great Canadian* actors.

reply

i agree - he was the outstanding performer in this. no-one else made an impact for me.

i was particulary disappointed in tom wilkinson and katie holmes.

Well, it is now sure and no one can udermine that Barry Pepper is an amazing actor who stole the show!

I don't agree that Tom Wilkinson didn't do his job he was very good, but not stunning. While Holmes made a parody of Jackie!

It seems like the cast has great gifts (Greg Kinnear, Barry Pepper) and great flaws (Katie Holmes, Charlotte Sullivan).

Ha! I kept thinking he looked familiar but couldn't place him. It was the nose thowing me off!!! I can't believe I didn't realize it was a prosthetic. oops. Yes, he was very good in this series.

Bam said the lady.

reply

Agreed, he was brilliant.

Just for the record, I'm female.....at least, last time I checked...

reply

Barry was incredible in his role as Bobby! He stole every scene he was in. The only ones to run him close were the guys that played McNamara and Lyndon Johnson.

reply

Agree. It was a strong cast and still he stood out.

reply

Well you got your wish. Won Emmy for lead actor in miniseries or movie which is rightfully so

reply
