Edward Kennedy

I don't understand why he was not portrayed, or I think even mentioned in the series.

He didn't really do anything. He didn't kill that girl until after both Jack and Bobby were dead. Yes, he was a senator, but didn't really do anything important.

They also ignored Kick too.

Ted should have been mentioned, if not portrayed. My guess is that they left him out because at the time this was being developed, he was still alive and they wanted to avoid any legal issues. As it was, the Kennedy's were using whatever force they still have to get this thing shelved. Had they portrayed Ted in any kind of accurate fashion, the attacks would have been ten-fold.

Since he wasn't VITAL in this era, it was easier to just leave him out. My guess is we will see plenty of Teddy films in the coming decades. He had more dirty laundry than Jack or Bobby combined. Primarily because he lived longer.

I hope you mean that Ted hadn't done much BY THAT POINT IN TIME. He was, however, a senator while Bobby was the AG and John the president.

And, Ted Kennedy went on to become our country's BEST and MOST PROLIFIC among senators, authoring and co-authoring more than 500 pieces of legislation....an astounding body of work-- far, far more than any other U.S. senator or U.S. representative in our history.

And it's why he was labeled The Lion of the Senate.

Edward Kennedy's story is the most interesting of all the Kennedy brothers. Not only the huge responsibility thrust upon him but his redemption from his car crash incident and finding that political sucess is not all about the top job.
