The Cuban Missile Crisis Episode.
Anyone else ticked that the makers sent Jackie away during the Cuban Missile Crisis? This was never the case, in fact Jackie refused when John told her to take the kids and leave Washington, saying she wanted to stay with them.
I find it a poor attempt at making the political discussions seem more entertaining for the general audience. Even as a soap it simply made Jackie and John both look like selfish people. This was John's finest hour and I hate the fact that the makers didn't have the balls to show what really happened even if it would have been perceived as slightly more boring. In any case the end result I find pleased no one.
Anyone have something else to say? Thirteen Days, Missile's of October, Kennedy (1983) tackle the subject extremly well (Thirteen Days would be near perfect if the focus was on the Kennedys not O'Donnell.)
A Kubrick, Scorsese, Coppola, fan.
