Would one really address the Attorney General as "General"? It sounds odd.

I watched an interview Robert Kennedy gave whilst running for Senate where he says that he could be called General for the rest of his life so it's not so implausible...

Read the full answer in Goofs section. Quick answer is yes, they are called General in certain situations.
