Katie Holmes doesn't do justice to Jackie

The two Kennedy's resemble the real characters they portray, with cosmetic effect. But Katie Holmes doesn't remotely resemble Jackie, nor does she represent Jackie's class and dignity.

IMO, I don't think there's anyone who can represent Jackie's class and dignity. That woman was truly in a league of her own!!

I'm glad you agree. The same with Grace Kelly. There was a movie made about her recently starring what's her name, but she doesn't do justice to the real Grace Kelly at all.

Jill Hennesy was very good as Jackie. And for entertainment I greatly enjoyed Roma Downey as well.
Katie was out of her element.

About Grace Kelly, there was a film made in the '80s and that I found very good!

I'm just watching it for the first time. I think the problem with Katie Holmes is that she's not very natural — it's always clear that she's acting.

You might very well think that. I couldn't possibly comment.

I am not a big Katie Holmes fan. But I thought she did a pretty good job. I had no ideal that Jackie Kennedy was only 31 years of age when she became first lady. I thought she was older. I wasn't born around that time. I really enjoyed this series. I have watched the one with Martin Sheen and the Women of Camelot. I also enjoyed the Women of Camelot and the three actresses who portrayed Jackie, Ethel and Joan.

I thought Katie Holmes did an OK job as Jackie Kennedy...for a t.v. movie. I don't know if any actress can replicate the image of Jackie on screen.

reply

She did okay, but she didn't have Jackie's voice down.
