When you see the meddling of the autocrtic, monarchical Catholic Bishops

into the affairs of US (among many other countries) one understands why the Mexican government sought to limit the meddling of these agents of a foreign government into their affairs.

Mexico most probably would not be the basket-case it is today if the Cristeros had been properly squashed.

That's an interesting theory, that the Catholic Church is responsible for Mexico being the hell hole it is today. Care to expand on that one?

The church isn't the only reason, but I work in California's Central Valley where a good deal of migrants from Mexico come to live. They mostly come from Mexico's rural, very poor areas and they talk about towns where the bishops still live like lords and trust me, they have a 14th century view of the world when it comes to everything from science to birth control.

Or a socialist kleptocracy, ..the same thing. And always...ALWAYS the same result for the "people" in the name of the 'people'.
From Callas and all of the later PRI. Get real for a minute. He is a film about what the country has come to....as they gladly export millions of their citizens.

It's the meddling of the autocratic, monarchical democratics that are responsible for the woes of America. Not to worry, we will stop them from meddling in our freedoms in November.

The only monarch in the US today is King Barack and his consort Queen Michelle, and like Kevin said they are OUT come 1/20/2013.

As for Mexico, Mexico's current problems are caused by it's historically weak central government and culture of corruption, combined with the PRI (Institutional Revolutionary Party)'s policy of allowing corruption and 'looking the other way' regarding the drug cartels ... as long as they stayed in power they dident care what the cartels did. The PRI ruled Mexico more or less non-stop between the 1920s and 2000 when Vincete Fox and the National Action Party came to power.
