Disappointing film score

I saw this movie today, and will probably give it another watch because I haven't made up my mind about it yet. But, I guess they didn't pay James Horner enough for the film score because I could have sworn I heard bits and pieces of the scores from Braveheart, The Missing, and Enemy at the Gate, which I found very distracting.

To me it sounded very much like his score for Zorro and Avatar. He has this three note flair thing he does during bleak moments. I didn't know beforehand but immediately recognized the score as James Horner as I heard it. I too was disappointed. I felt that he was being lazy and repetitive. I am not a film score buff by any means but I have become aware that I tend to notice a James Horner score before the credits confirm my suspicions.

There's a good discussion about Horner recycling his music on the IMDB message board for James Horner. IMHO, compared to the late Jerry Goldsmith or Thomas Newman, the guy has become a hack.

I kept hearing Bernstein's "One Hand, One Heart" over and over again.
