So he doesn't even work (according to Maci). So what does he do?
I absolutely love Ryan's parents, but they have to feel somewhat like failures in parenting, with the way he has turned out.
And Maci even said tonight how spoiled he is and how his mom still does everything for him. So she was placing some blame there.
And them urging him to meet a girl and settle down, because they want more grandkids. No way he will ever have a successful relationship til he works through many other things first. And last thing he needs right now is more children.
Definitely time for some tough love with him.

Yeah they seem to be worried about the wrong things. He shouldn't be focused on dating and getting married. He should be focused on getting a job. The thing that bothers me about Ryan is that he seems to have no drive. He has a platform that he could be using to his benefit and he is doing nothing with it. Some of the other cast members are flipping houses, some are starting businesses, some are writing books. He should try and make some money off of his "fame" while he can. He doesn't even have to work a 9-5 if that isn't his thing. These MTV checks can't be that great and even if they are they won't last forever.

SN: Since they're pushing for him to meet someone, I wonder if Ryan were to get married would the wife just move into Ryan's bedroom...

He just doesn't care about anything. He doesn't even look good anymore. Not that he was ever some heart throb but I mean he looks like absolute $hit most of the time. And it's like he's dating the same little girl over and over, just a different name. Isn't he tired of the same $hit??? It has to be getting old. Even Adam from TM2 finally seems to at least be trying to finally get it together. Ryan doesn't even seem like a dad. Him and Bently are more like brothers.

I wonder if that accident he was in a few years ago left him with some damage. He seems super out of it and slower than he used to be? Could be drugs too. He has some major crazy eyes going on.

That said, I'm really tired of hearing Maci whine about this over and over for the past 7 years. He's never going to be as involved as she wants him to be. Eventually Bentley will figure this out on his own, so it would be nice if she stopped beating a dead horse.

Maybe they think that Ryan will shape up if he meets the right woman.

I'm not sure what kind of tough love his parents can give, considering he's almost 30 and can do whatever he wants with his life. He obviously doesn't want more kids and likes the "bachelor" life... its wrong for his parents to keep pressuring him to get married and have kids for their own selfish interests. I love Jen and Larry but their constant pressure is wrong and weird to watch.. but everyone in the Maci segments seems to be really old school and expects everyone to follow the same life script.

Side note: I totally agree that he needs to move out and get a job!! He's a loser in that aspect. Jen and Larry need to kick him out.

True, Ryan is old enough to do what he wants with his life, but he lives with his parents! That gives them some say so.

I wonder how much he and his parents get paid by MTV. If it is a significant amount, that may be a factor in why they let him stay. If he was on his own, there would not be much of a reason to film him or his parents. Even still, there is no excuse for him not being there for his son.

Do you think he regrets all his bad choices like treating maci horrible and having nothing to do with Bentley? It was seriously out of no where that they stopped fighting and we're able to deal with each other. Also Ryan's parents were at the baby's bday party But we're her parents? I don't think I saw them so strange!

Yes! I get that Ryan's parents are nice people but I get irritated when people act like they're just so great. Ryan is the way he is because of how he was raised. His mother is sweet but she's definitely the type that will have no problem still doing your laundry when you're 30.
