I'm sorry if Farrah suffered some trauma, but you know what? Lots of people (me included) had a childhood involving abuse, and don't act like Farrah. I hate when people use their childhood as an excuse for unhealthy behavior.
I'm convinced that the #1 problem with Farrah is that EVERYONE enables her to be a b*tch. No one ever talks back to her. Every cowers to her. Larry the producer, her mother, her father, Simon, Derek's family...they all kiss her butt and do whatever she wants.
If I were Larry, and Farrah demanded that we install port-o-potties in the front yard for the crew, I'd say no way. Teen Mom OG can survive just fine without her. I'm not saying she "needs her ass kicked," but people around her need to tell her that her behavior is unacceptable and will have consequences.

shareI'd say it's the other way around. No one stands up to Farrah because of the way she is. It's just too taxing to fight with her all the time. Farrah's family, and Debra especially didn't bend over backwards for Farrah until she had money and a grandchild to hold over them.

i think the problem is as a child, her parents were abusive towards her. in her earlier episodes you can see her being way more timid than she is now. now that she is super rich, her mother especially kisses up to her and i think it's all a farce and i think farrah knows it's all a farce. so she is short tempered with her and could care less about her in general. but at the same time, having so much money, so much (negative) male attention, etc. and it's all gone to her head. she also might have some mental illnesses going on up in there, but i am no real expert.
just because her past doesn't excuse her behavior doesn't mean that her past isn't still a very valid thing. it's all just sad all around. i feel for the little girl she once was, and i feel for her daughter.

You hit it on the head. Exactly. Somehow because of the way she acts she gets her way and that is why she continues that way. So her parents enable her to behave in rude and disrespectful ways. Simon only sometimes stands up to her.
When he stands up to her she won't even listen to him... so she has no connection to anyone in real life since she is not willing to compromise on anything. When he opened the door for her she was rolling her eyes just to thank him... it was beyond sarcastic as well. Who would, and could be around that? I don't know who, but it wouldn't be me unless I was being paid big bucks. Maybe she's the greatest actress to ever live and it's all a ruse... but... I doubt it.

It did seem as if the therapist got through to her. The therapist told her, "The footage that I have seen of the way you talk to him, no man in his right mind will stick around." I was amazed Farrah didn't bite her head off. She might have listened because the therapist also admonished Simon for being too quiet and not following through on things.
I LOVED that the therapist told Farrah to keep Sophia away from the relationship. Heavens, we've seen Sophia on the floor with her arms wrapped around Simon's ankle, him trying to walk. Sophia is going to end up as possessive and needy of men as her mother.
My take on it is that Sophia will most likely be a basket case regardless of Simon. Though I do agree he is not helping.
She has a difficult grandmother. I think Michael is a good influence on Sophia but she obviously is aware Deborah and Michael are not together. Then Farrah's porn career and sex toy business isn't great. Top that off with a dad that died before her birth and being on reality TV and being called "stupid," "annoying," etc will not fare well for her.
I would not be surprised if she is teased in school for being on TV and Farrah being her mom.
Good thing Farrah is making investments. She will need that money when Teen Mom is cancelled.
I think in the previous season, which I am watching now for the first time,Farrah's attitude wasn't that bad. I actually found her to be bearable and dare I say it a bit ... nice and considerate to others.
Congratulating Maci on getting engaged was really nice of Farrah after all the crap Maci has said about her. Calling Amber about Matt and actually being concerned was nice of her.
You know while Farrah acts like a bitch to everyone AT LEAST she is open about it. I think Maci is manipulative, spoiled and is a big fat hypocrite but she hides it well because she seems more friendly than Farrah.
As for people not standing up to Farrah though, I couldn't agree with you more. 'Maikul' and Debra for instance are too afraid to stand up to her because they know she'll snatch Sophia out of their lives like ASAP.
