What happened? What made his father write him off? Poor kids on meth it seems but for a father to say what he did he must have laid his hands on his mother or him. Anyone know?

But no idea what caused it. But resentment does seem to have been building for quite some time now. His dad has not been happy with his "parenting" of Bentley. And Larry is not proud of Ryan. Which you can't blame him for.
Think he has just let it go, to keep Jen happy. But it must have hit a breaking point.

I think Ryan maybe got caught stealing money from his parents. I can't see him getting violent at all. Stealing also goes hand and hand with drug addiction.
