Why couldn't they all eat at home?

Why couldn't Amber, Matt and Leah all eat at home? It would have been much better for Leah to have a piece of grilled chicken and dome vegetables, rather than Steak and Shake.
Maybe she was just really hungry, but that is why you carry snacks, when you have kids.
And then her wanting Mac and Cheese, with a side of Mac and Cheese. She is a kid, so of course she wants that, because it tastes good. And Amber suggesting a Hot Dog and Mac and Cheese was
not much better.
And I am not one of these health
nut people. I believe everything is fine in moderation. And that
includes Steak and Shake,
cookies, candy, etc. But it seems
with Amber, they always have
fast food with Leah (or at least
they have fast food cups). And they are adults, so that is fine. But Leah already doesn't have the best genes for being thin and will probably have to watch it.
Again, anything is fine in moderation. Just not every day. And these habits are learned young.

I agree, when Leah said it was gross that she was eating a can of French green beans, it would leave you to believe she does not eat vegetables that often. Veggies are a great way to feel full so you can indulge on steak n shake. I buy those green giant frozen boxes of frozen veggies (less sodium than canned). At 60 calories per serving in a box and 2 and a half servings, I can eat a whole box myself and still have plenty of calories left over for other things that are indulgences later.

Exactly, JJandS. I try to have lots of vegetables, salad, fruit and healthy snacks on hand, so I can fill up on those and then be full and not over indulge on my cravings. Lol
The key to eating healthy (or at least trying to) is preparing healthy foods and having them waiting when you are hungry. These girls (on TM1 and TM2) are too lazy to do this. So eating out is easier. As adults, that is their choice. But kids don't know how to make healthy choices yet and learn by example.
Amber seemed to be starving!! Why not have several pieces of chicken grilled and refrigerated, to be heated up? She definitely has time for that. Then you don't get to thd point of being that hungry. Letting yourself get thst hungry is disastrous to trying to eat healthy.
And I won't lie, I love junk food and eating out. But know I can't have it all the time and stay healthy.
I tend to eat well and exercise
during the week and then indulge and eat out some on weekends. That tends to work for me and I don't feel so deprived. But come Thursday, start getting excited about a Wendy's frosty on Saturday- ha ha.
Poor Leah! When it comes to healthy lifestyle, she doesn't have the best examples.
And I think all people are special and important, whether they are bigger or not. But it is just not good for health and not a good trait to pass on to children.
Type 2 Diabetes, High Cholesterol and other conditions do not look fun!!
I will have to try the frozen Green Giant Veg's. I have seen them at the store and look good :)

I thought the same thing. Amber should take this opportunity to teach Leah healthier habits before she runs into her own health issues. (And I'm Weight Watchers so I'm not just ragging on a heavy girl to be mean; I live that same life.)

Irishm, Weight Watchers is one of the best "eating healthy for life" plans you can be on. It really does teach lifestyle changes and it is not a diet. And you can save your points and occasionally have treats.
Good for you!!

Leah is spoiled and Matt could careless. They stopped at S and S because she wanted fast food. Matt agreed.

And they were really testing Amber's willpower too.
First she is hungry and has to smell the Steak and Shake in the car. And then Matt appeared to be eating chips, when she came to check on the grill.
Unfortunately, that is part of it. Dealing with things around you that you have to say no to.
But I did feel a little sorry for her, because that is hard.
