has never speculated about Ryan possibly being on drugs... it would explain a lot of his behavior, and it seems that Maci sees him often enough to have noticed...I'm also surprised that if she did suspect he was on drugs, she would still let him take Bentley places alone.
shareHonestly, I suspect brain damage more than anything else. He never got medical treatment after that horrible accident a few years back. He hasn't acted or looked normal since.
shareA family member of mine fell off a latter and hit his head pretty hard, he never sought medical attention but he's never been the same. He's mean, confrontational and agressive now (10 years later) it even messed with his ability to tolerate certain foods.
shareIn the last episode he was certainly on SOMETHING. When they first show him at the beginning of the episode he was fine. The second time they show him talking to his mom and Bentley he is high as hell.
I would guess coke or meth myself. He was scratching and moving his hands around. His eyes were totally blown out and he wasn't making eye contact. Even having a drink in his hand could be a sign. A lot of people drink heavily while doing coke.
Coke dries your throat out and alcohol levels you out plus you can drink like a fish and not feel the full effects. Not sure he had booze in his cup but if he was high and partying they go together.
I haven't been watching so I really don't know but you know MTV's editing is terrible lol

If she's not around him that much she may not notice, especially if she has to bring Bentley to Jen and Larry's and they are the ones who bring him to Ryan.

I remember I think it was last season in a Halloween episode where Ryan was being really weird. Not just that but I also think that Maci usually thinks that Bentley is with Jen and Larry and not with Ryan alone.
