Please tell me that it's not normal to spend $900 on back to school clothes, including like an evening gown, for elementary aged kids? Especially in Indiana, nothing against Indiana (I'm from Ohio), but its not Beverly Hills.
Of course the precious dress gets thrown on the floor, around all the dogs.
I expected Amber to blowup when Leah didn't wear it to the first day of school.
OMG I just posted something about this. I was soooo annoyed watching that scene. It was a total waste of money and the fact that her and Matt made a point of saying the price means they were doing it just so they could brag and come off like they are so great.

I felt sorry for Christina. You could tell by the look on her face that she felt bad. That was a d-bag move on Amber's part.
shareI wish I could feel sorry for Christina, but she married such a loser (Gary). She acts like the biggest pushover and is so subservient to him. I respect if she isn't used to being filmed and gets nervous but her passive personality and blushing all the time is annoying. I wish she had more gumption. Amber is way prettier too.
shareI dunno, every time I see Christina or she has the gaul to comment on Amber and Gary's coparenting of Leah, I can't help but think what a fraud she is. This past episode she was going on about how Leah feels about having to go back and forth between Amber and Gary, and I'm like, really Christina? Can we talk about how you don't even see or mention your other kids from your first marriage? Maybe if your ex didn't have full custody of them you would understand what 50/50 custody looks like. I just can't with her.

My comment had nothing to do with her issues with her ex and kids. It had to do with the clothes situation. No light has ever really been shed on that matter so I think it's safe to say it's pretty much gossip at this point.
sharePretty sure Christina's first baby daddy said their child couldn't appear on MTV so they cannot film her, but she still lives with her and Gary (part time?) so he must be somewhat intelligent. These kids are getting to the age where they are going to get teased badly at school.

shareNo way! My daughter attends a school where uniforms are required everyday. She grew over 3 inches since last year so we had to buy her all new uniforms this year. Since the uniforms are required, they aren't exactly cheap (business owner knows that we will have to pay what she charges, right?). Even with all of that, we didn't spend $900 on clothes for this year. That's ridiculous, especially when you consider that kids grow like weeds and the clothes likely will not fit her in another year (maybe 2 if she doesn't grow too fast).
shareI live in Indiana, about 1.5 hours away from where Amber lives. No way is most children's clothes that expensive, not even close! It looked like Amber bought mostly dresses, which most girls here don't wear to school. How are you supposed to have fun on the playground wearing dresses? For $900, she could have gotten 4-5x as much clothing at Target, Old Navy or even Justice.
It seemed very wasteful to me, but Amber's getting good at pissing her money away.
