Just looking at her this last episode, she just looks so down and out.
I definitely believe she is milking it a lot too. But based on her appearance, she does seem to have some serious demons.
And I am not just referring to her weight gain. Her skin looks saggy and aged beyond her years, her hair looks stringy and unhealthy and she doesn't even look clean.
Even with her weight up and down, she has always had a glow to her and a genuine cuteness. That is gone!!
Could some of this be contributed to smoking and being lazy? These too are demons she is fighting, and using to feel better. Absolutely. And as I said, do feel she is milking it too. But there is definitely some mental illness there too.
But I also feel this should not be used as a crutch. She needs serious help! And that Kathleen is not cutting it. Really think it may take Tyler leaving (which seems inevitable), for her to jot rock bottom. He seems to be the ONLY thing she actually cares about. She doesn't even seem to have the drive to wanna change for Nova. How Sad!!
Just watching this last episode, really noticed just how bad her appearance really has gotten. Huge sign of something much deeper.

Totally agree with everything you are saying. Someone posted on another thread that when she had the "anxiety attack," with her friend at April's they rushed off abruptly like they were going to score drugs. I watched it again and thought the same thing. Maybe she is hiding something.

Her nails are always done, somehow, because I recall Tyler complimenting her on them an episode or two ago. What she could use is a day to just go get some pampering: go to a salon, get her hair washed and cut it styled, then go to the mall and buy a new outfit or two. I know that she's dealing with internal issues, but sometimes just going out and feeling refreshed in some way can start to make you feel a little bit better.

Plus she is an adult woman wearing an Angry Birds t-shirt.

Catelynn and Gary need a makeover. It's hard to take Gary seriously when he's constantly wearing that "Dad Bod" shirt. Dude, put a little effort into your appearance!

When she said "I'm so stupid" or something to that effect while wearing that shirt with no makeup, hair messy and overweight -- yeah, you look really stupid.

Watching Teen Mom is like watching Jerry Springer.
