Rewatched Maci's 16 and Pregnant Episode

A few observations:

-Her voice changed so much! It used to be high and smooth an now it's very low and gravelly. I remember she smoked, so that must be the cause of it.

-Ryan was a bit of a dead beat (could have helped with Bentley more for sure) but he was far and away more involved then many of the other 16 and P dads. They lived together, he worked long hours and he was actually very sweet with baby Bentley as if he seemed to really enjoy him. I honestly think (and this isn't really Maci's fault) that he was just unhappy with her when they were together and it made him apathetic to fatherhood in a way. Of course, it's not as though he stepped up when they broke up so there is that. The guy is super messed up now though, it's sad to see him so normal and now so strung out.

-The x's on Maci's hands in several scenes. Those are what they draw on underage kids who go to bars/clubs. MTV glossed over her going out so much in her original episode and early Teen Mom. She was clearly enjoying her social time like Ryan but it was never addressed.

-There is a scene when Ryan doesn't want to get up with Bentley at night and Maci puts him in bed with Ryan and tells him to cry. He starts to scream as she walks out of the room and the camera catches her smiling to herself in a slightly devious way. I think those two went at each other, it wasn't a Chelsea/Adam situation where he was always picking on her alone.

I remember the scene where she put Bentley in the room with him to cry. It made me so mad at both of them! I was pissed at Ryan for not stepping up and doing his part while she studied, but as a mom I couldn't have just left my baby in the room with that douchebag not knowing if he was actually going to get his lazy ass up and do something for his child. They were definitely both at each other, but MTV wanted to paint Maci in a good light so they made it look like it was all him.

Maci has always seemed to get a better edit from MTV than any of the other girls, but I've never thought she was as innocent as they portrayed her. While Ryan has never been dad of the year, he was okay for a while and tried but it was pretty obvious he was never thrilled wit Maci or being filmed. Don't know what's happened to him to make him so strange now but it is sad to watch.

I recently watched a bunch of clips from some of their 16 & Pregnant episodes and I seriously couldn't believe how much ALL of their voices have changed! I think I noticed it the most with Jenelle and Amber, from the clips that I saw. They were so high pitched back then... they sounded so young and innocent. Now I'm wondering how much my voice has changed over the past decade!
