Or with some 20 year old when he's in his 40s who will only be with him because he was on MTV. This guy just doesn't have a good ending. I think the accident messed up his brain and he's using drugs to alleviate the problem

I think substance abuse is a real problem as well as the accident possibly having devestating conseqences too. It just seems so classic; a brain injury that alters one's personality, magnifying what their traits already were like before. Ryan was always slower, apathetic... "drone-ish." After that accident, all of these things are heightened.
It's not necessarily over for him; getting clean and seeing neuro specialists could really help a great deal. I don't see it happening though. Yep, he's likely destined to a revolving-door of relationships and may even get with increasingly younger women as he gets older.
