Just saw the episode that was filmed on Father's day. His pupils are so dilated that it's hard to even look at him. He creeped me out.
What other drug does that? He was almost 100% pupil.
How could his mom not notice something was VERY wrong with him?

I think Jen did notice, but she wouldn't say anything on camera... or maybe at all? I can see why Larry is frustrated, although losing it regarding Jen was cruel. She seems like a nice lady, and doesn't know what to do. Coddling Ryan obviously wasn't a screaming success.
I don't know if Ryan was a tripping. I've read people guess meth, and I've also heard Ecstasy. He definitely looks on something. I don't have better than a guess, but for now, I most suspect meth.
Doesn't meth make people act hyper? Ryan yawns more than he talks...I've never seen him act anything but sluggish! Seems more like an opiate abuser, if he is on sum'n.
shareYes, very true; meth is associated with hyperactivity, lack of sleep, rapid speech, etc. Isn't one of its slang terms "speed" because people on it can get so sped up? (Maybe "speed" is for any amphetamine, not necessarily methamphetamine.)
Nevertheless, not everybody tweaks in the stereotypical way. Ryan's already a slower, low-geared guy, and it's possible he would respond to meth by just getting high, but not high-geared. When we see him yawning, he could even be coming down from it or taking something else. This is all contracture, but I'm just saying that not everyone on meth gets amped up.
