Not surprising here since she calls her dad Michael. But most people usually have their moms name under mom in their phones not under their first name.

shareI used to have my parents names, but then I changed them to mom and dad. My brother is a doctor and said one of the first things they do when someone comes into the ER alone or unconscious is find the patient's cell phone and look through the contacts for obvious family names to contact.
shareGood to know, but I lock my phone since a law was passed giving police the right to search your phone if it's unlocked. Not that my lifestyle is that shady, but you never know when a text might be misinterpreted...damn autocorrect and all too. My parents can just find out I'm dead when everyone else finds out.

On my iPhone when my mom calls her name shows up as Mom or her full name. It also shows her email info and workplace. Maybe she has her Facebook contacts synced up to her phone. That's why my moms number shows up as her full name.

shareI don't understand why anyone would have the name of their mom and dad for their contact info. They are your mom and dad and that's what should show up when they call, just my opinion. That's what you call them isn't it? Maybe put Mom and have her name afterwards.
If you call your real mom and dad by their first name something is off in that relationship. Unless one of your parents wasn't in your life for years or something it's very weird to call a parent by their name.
A lot of people switch to the first name when they become adults. Personally, if I'm telling a story about my my mom or dad I will call them that to show the relationship, but when speaking to them directly, it feels odd. They're listed by name in my address book.
